Assistant Billing Accountant Full Time

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Billing Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong
understanding of billing processes, invoicing, and accounting software such as QuickBooks, alongside excellent Excel skills. You will play a key
role in ensuring timely and accurate billing, invoicing, and financial record keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
● Process customer invoices and ensure timely and accurate billing.
● Maintain up-to-date billing records and customer payment histories.
● Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure billing accuracy.
● Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
● Track daily transactions and handle petty cash.
● Support the finance team with monthly reporting, tax returns, and compliance.
● Liaise with clients to clarify billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
● Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies in all invoicing
procedures.
● Assist with audits, preparing necessary documentation and reports as required.
● Provide support in other accounting duties as assigned by the finance manager.
Qualifications:
● A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
● At least 1-2 years’ experience in billing, invoicing, or an accounting role.
● Strong proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
● Advanced knowledge of Excel for data management and reporting.
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Knowledge of Ugandan tax regulations is an advantage.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
